Provenote is a verification company, trust is the product. This notice describes, in plain terms, the data our website handles today while we are in private beta. It is written to match what the code actually does.
Effective August 16, 2026 · applies to provenote.us
When you submit the waitlist or contact form, we receive the email address you enter and any role/note you choose to add. Our servers also process ordinary request metadata (such as your IP address and a timestamp) transiently, to prevent spam and abuse of the form, this is standard for any website and is not used to profile you.
A hidden anti-spam field on the form is discarded immediately and never stored. We do not ask for, and you should never send us, passwords, financial details, or sensitive personal information through these forms.
The site is hosted on Vercel (United States). Waitlist entries are stored in a managed Redis database (Upstash, United States) and/or emailed to our team via Resend, depending on configuration. These processors handle the data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. We keep the footprint deliberately small.
Provenote’s marketing site sets no tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through. Your theme preference (light / dark / system) is saved in your browser’s local storage purely so the site remembers it; it is technical, first-party, and never transmitted to us.
We keep waitlist entries only for as long as we are running the beta and onboarding early users, plus a short period afterwards, then delete them. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time, no reason required, by emailing privacy@provenote.us. We honour verified deletion requests, including under the GDPR and CCPA where they apply to you.
Privacy questions or requests: privacy@provenote.us. Security reports: security@provenote.us. Provenote is an Aethyia product.
This notice covers the current beta website. When Provenote begins processing manuscripts and identity data for real users, we will publish an expanded policy and data-processing terms before that processing begins, see Security & privacy.
